Petra U. Jung: Twenty years of sales performance…
When I was born in 1959 in Germany, the local mom and pop store was still located on the corner.
There, they was known for their warm, familiar manner and the way in which all customers, large and
small alike, were treated with the same attentiveness to their wishes.
This would become my first exposure to a successful business enterprise and taught me much
about marketing as well as customer relations.
After finishing my Abitur (German equivalent of an international baccalaureate), I set out
with the goal, “NOT to become a sales person.”
Along the way, I managed however to stumble
into exactly that field.

- Major in Applied Languages in Heidelberg, Paris, Cologne (Bachelors degree)
- Travel journalist: Encountered and mastered extreme situations in
Peru, Bolivia, Chile

- 10+ years Remscheid (1994 – 2004):

- Manager in the area of sales, marketing and communications and in charge of German
marketing (online marketing, e-commerce and offline/print campaigns) for renown
